About Us
Background
Naomh Bríde Community Playgroup opened their doors as a service for preschool children and their families in September 1974. Maureen Keogh started in 1979 and after 31 years service retired last year. The playgroup is run by a voluntary committee consisting of parents which is renewed each year.
Today
Naomh Bríde Community Playgroup is growing from strength to strength and we can accommodate a maximum of 20 children per day. We operate at no profit from year to year. Parents are given a weekly newsletter which informs them of the planned activities, stories, letters of the alphabet, numbers and topics that occurred that week in playschool. These activities will be planned around the 4 themes of Aistear – Well Being, Identity and Belonging, Communication and Exploring and Thinking.
